Test MotoGP Jerez, Day-3. Crutchlow il più veloce, ma Rossi c'è ed è 2°

Ore 18.00 – Crutchlow chiude in testa il Day 3, Rossi secondo

Giornata a dir poco strana quella di oggi a Jerez, per il terzo giorno di test IRTA: calma piatta per tutta la mattina, con pista bagnata e team quasi annoiati nei box, poi finalmente, nella seconda parte del pomeriggio tutti i piloti sono scesi in pista per approfittare del sole che ha asciugato la pista permettendo di usufruire di condizioni quasi ottimali per due ore: i tempi hanno iniziato ad abbassarsi freneticamente, fino a tornare ai livelli di ieri, con tre piloti sotto l’1’40.

Il britannico Cal Crutchlow, del team Monster Yamaha Tech 3 sorprende tutti e segna un grandissimo 1:39.511, abbassando di 14 millesimi il tempo di Rossi nel Day 2: il Dottore non molla e oggi ha comunque ottenuto il secondo tempo. Terzo Bradl che più passa il tempo più convince, davanti a Jorge Lorenzo con 1:40.105, soli 25 millesimi in meno di Marc Marquez. Le Ducati si sono comportate bene, sia il team ufficiale che satellite: sesto tempo per Iannone, Energy T.I. Pramac Racing Team, a precedere Hayden e Dovizioso, separati da 14 centesimi, dietro di loro il collaudatore Michele Pirro davanti a De Puniet, Energy T.I. Pramac Racing Team, decimo e ultimo pilota a girare oggi sotto l’1’41.

Se invece guardiamo la classifica combinata dei 3 giorni, che riassume tutti i migliori tempi, le prime due posizioni rimangono invariate con Crutchlow primo e Rossi secondo in virtù del tempo di ieri, seguito dai due spagnoli Lorenzo e Pedrosa (sempre con i tempi ottenuti ieri) a precedere Bradl e Marquez sesto prima delle Ducati di Dovizioso Iannone e Hayden. E ora non resta che attendere il 7 aprile per i primi verdetti che contano.

Ore 16.30 – Lorenzo scende in pista ed è subito 1°, Rossi subito dietro

Scende finalmente in pista Jorge Lorenzo e con il majorchino aumenta subito il ritmo. I tempi si stanno progressivamente abbassando, ma siamo ancora lontani da quelli di ieri. Poco dopo scende in pista anche Rossi e si segna subito il secondo tempo alle spalle del compagno di squadra quando manca poco più di un’ora alla fine dei test.

Alle 11.30 pochi i piloti in pista, con Pirro (Ducati test team) davanti a tutti con un 1:47.708: ieri sull’asciutto i migliori giravano sotto l’1’40. Dietro di lui, staccato di 2 secondi Hayden, seguito dal rookie Bradley Smith, poi Corti, Staring e Pesek. Nel frattempo è anche giunta notizia che Pedrosa (Honda) avrebbe già lasciato Jerez, soddisfatto della moto e del lavoro svolto.

“Sono contento della moto, il tempo è brutto e il mio collo è ancora un po’ dolorante… vado a casa e non vedo l’ora di andare in Qatar!”

Ore 10.20 – E’ arrivata la pioggia

Dopo pochi minuti il via ufficiale al terzo giorno di test, quando erano in pista solo il collaudatore del Ducati Test Team Michele Pirro e Pesek del Came Ioda Racing Project, la pioggia ha inizato a cadere sul circuito di Jerez e ora i team stanno nei box a guardare il cielo. Nel pomeriggio il tempo potrebbe migliorare ma si teme un’altra giornata poco significativa.

Via al terzo giorni di test

Yamaha o Honda? Rossi o Lorenzo? Pedrosa oppure Marquez? E Ducati? La terza giornata di test MotoGP a Jerez de la Frontera si apre con tanti interrogativi, dopo che nel Day 1 funestato dalla pioggia, Lorenzo l’aveva spuntata su tutti, mentre ieri Valentino Rossi è “risorto”, riuscendo a segnare il miglior tempo in classifica dopo anni.

Partenza alle 10.00 e tempo variabile: si attende una reazione da parte di Honda, dopo che ieri ben 3 Yamaha (ultima quella di Crutchlow) avevano monopolizzato la giornata. Lo stesso Lorenzo ha commentato:

“Comunque non vedo le Honda così distanti, Dani è vicino e non ha tirato al massimo in tutte le uscite e il suo passo è buono, da quanto ho potuto vedere. Marquez in questo momento è un po’ più staccato, ma non significa che domani non possa recuperare.”

Il majorchino conta oggi, di poter scendere sotto l’1’39 e, in generale, dice che per vedere chi tra Honda e Yamaha è realmente in vantaggio si dovrà attendere la quinta gara del mondiale, 3 sessioni di test non sono indicative. Attesa anche per Ducati, che ieri con Dovizioso ha ottenuto il 5° tempo dietro a Pedrosa.
