Gunbus 410: una V-Twin da 6700 cc ‘Made in Germany’

La tedesca Leonhardt Manufacturing produce una mastodontica motocicletta’ lunga 3 metri e mezzo e dal peso di 645 kg: immagini e dettagli.


Il tedesco Clemens F. Leonhardt, boss della Leonhardt Manufacturing, ci ha messo oltre due anni per realizzarla, ma alla fine la sua mastodontica Gunbus 410 ha finalmente visto la luce, e si tratta senza dubbio di una delle motociclette più imponenti che abbiamo mai visto (certo non al livello della inarrivabile Regio Design XXL Chopper, la moto che detiene il record ufficiale di grandezza nel Guinness dei primati, ma comunque si tratta di qualcosa di assolutamente imponente).

Scorrendo le specifiche tecniche di questa imponente due ruote, non si può fare a meno di notare come la sua enormità sia effettivamente rispecchiata anche dai suoi numeri: il motore, tanto per cominciare, è un V-Twin da 45° con cilindrata di 410 pollici cubici (da cui il nome, l’equivalente di 6.728 centimetri cubici), con 176 mm di corsa e 156 mm di alesaggio, in grado di sviluppare circa 350 CV ed un valore di coppia massima di circa 710 Nm a 1.900 giri/min. I due cilindri, per la cronaca, sono stati presi da un motore radiale di origine aeronautica. La lunghezza totale della Gunbus 410 è di 3.450 mm, cui corrispondono un ‘passo’ di 2.410 mm e un’altezza sella di 800 mm. I cerchi sono da 38″ davanti e da 42″, il peso a secco dichiarato è di 650 kg, mentre il cambio è a 3 velocità più retromarcia.

Il telaio in acciaio 25CrMo4 è stato ovviamente realizzato ‘in house’ dalla stessa Leonhardt Manufacturing, mentre l’impianto frenante utilizza dischi con dimensioni non così mostruose: 310 mm di diametro sia per la coppia anteriore che per quello singolo dietro. La gigantesca Gunbus 410 viene prodotta in pochissimi esemplari all’anno e può essere dotata di sidecar, un’aggiunta che supponiamo sia molto utile per mantenersi in equilibrio ai semafori. Non ci aspettiamo certo grandi doti di maneggevolezza da questo imponente ‘mostro della strada’, ma come semplice show-bike immaginiamo abbia davvero pochi rivali al mondo…
